The ARRL Forum is showing on Saturday September 8th, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., in room 3-5.

The Forum is moderated by Dick Norton, N6AA the Director of ARRL Southwestern Division.

The American Radio Relay League, founded in 1914, is a non-profit membership organization that:

Represents US Radio Amateurs in government and public relations matters

• Promotes interest in Amateur Radio communications and experimentation

• Maintains high standards of conduct among Amateur Radio operators

• Supports volunteers who use Amateur Radio to help others

• Provides information & services to enhance the Amateur Radio experience

• Publishes a monthly journal, QST, plus many other Amateur Radio books

Director - ARRL Southwestern Division

The ARRL Southwestern Division encompasses Southern California and Arizona.  The Division is headed by a Director and Vice Director elected by the ARRL membership residing in the Division.  As a member of the 15-member Board of Directors, your Division Director is responsible for policy and governance of the League.  The Division includes five ARRL Sections.  Each section is headed by a Section Manager elected by the ARRL members residing in the section.  Sections are comprised as follows:

Arizona

– Entire state

Los Angeles

– Los Angeles county

Orange

– Inyo, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties

San Diego

– Imperial and San Diego counties

Santa Barbara

– San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties

Section Managers are responsible for administering the ARRL Field Organization within their area, including the selection of leadership appointees.
